Senior science students at the College all take Physics as a subject and this is due in no small way to the students' perception of the subject as being vital for careers in technology. This includes a wide range of professions encompassing everything from geophysics through to engineering. Physics also has applications in other sciences such as physical chemistry and biophysics.
The course offered at the College is particulary aimed at providing the students with scientific skills and at building concepts to form a basis for the technological applications of Physics. As all classes are held in the College's Physics Laboratory, the students have frequent opportunities for 'hands-on' experience and for gaining a solid base in the concepts being taught.
