Students appreciate being made aware of their own political environment and learning of the political environments of other countries in their Government studies at St Michael's College. They recognise that comparative studies can bring about growth and development in a nation. The benefits of both a good understanding of policy practice and the implementation of democracy as a form of governance become obvious as historical precedents are carefully examined. Through a realisation that the study of Government brings about political enlightenment and awareness of the political process, the students in the College warm to this subject and generally excel at it, particularly in their WAEC and SSCE NECO examinations.
