The Science Department
in the College is particularly blessed with well-equipped
laboratories and a highly-dedicated staff. Because of the
facilities, students are able to enjoy practical demonstrations
and experimental work regularly as every lesson in Physics,
Chemistry and Biology is conducted in the respective laboratory
for each subject, with the equipment right at hand. These
practical activities of course are very popular and significantly
assist the students to grasp the concepts being covered.
Computers are available in a number of the laboratories,
and the Computer Laboratory itself has over twenty computers
dedicated for students' use. These computers are additionally
networked to facilitate instruction from the teacher's 'master'
computer.
Both the well-equipped laboratories and the individualised
student approach of the staff encourage the students to think
for themselves and to live effectively in our modern world
of science and technology. The individualised approach also
caters significantly for the differences in students' talents
and assists students to explore the opportunities open to
them after they leave secondary school.
