Introductory Technology

This subject has been implemented into the College's program for all JSS students with the aim of reducing ignorance about technology. On a broader scale. it is also hoped that having Introductory Technology as a subject on the same footing as Mathematics and Science will contribute ultimately to Nigeria's national development.

The Introductory Technology course at the college aims to :

1. provide pre-vocational orientation for further training in technology.
2. provide basic technological literacy for everyday living.
3. stimulate creativity.

At the College, students enjoy the 'hands-on' approach taken to the subject through practical exercise and projects. Simple construction tasks are assigned to give the students first-hand experience in handling tools and equipment. Excursions into the community have also proved very popular as the students have seen commercial woodworking in operation. Straightforward woodwork joinery tasks have given the students an appreciable sense of satisfaction on completion of their projects.
